Choosing the destination doesn't have to be another thing you figure out before asking for help.

These are some of the trips I recommend most often because I know who they're right for, what makes them work, and where families can get tripped up.

I DON'T RECOMMEND A DESTINATION JUST BECAUSE EVERYONE ELSE IS GOING THERE.
A great family vacation isn't about finding the destination with the longest list of "must-do" attractions. It's about finding a place that works for the people actually taking the trip.
Maybe you need a resort where the kids can find something to do without you organizing every minute. Maybe you want a walkable city so nobody has to spend the week getting in and out of a rental car. Maybe everyone needs space, or you want a trip with enough adventure to keep teenagers interested without coming home exhausted.
Those details tell me far more than a list of trending destinations ever could.
The question isn't, "Where should families go?"
It's, "Where should your family go?"
This isn't a list of everywhere I can plan travel. It's intentionally selective.
These are places I understand well enough to have an opinion about: who should go, who probably shouldn't, where I'd look first, how long I'd stay, and the decisions that can make a difference between a good idea and a great vacation.
You don't need to research all of them.
That's my job.
BOSTON & SALEM
Walkable history, great food, and a city that's easy to explore as a family.
Best for:
Families who want history, great food, walkability, and plenty to do without renting a car.
Why it's on my list:
Boston packs a lot into a manageable city, with Salem adding an easy day trip that fills completely different.
BETHANY BEACH, DE
A quieter beach vacation where the pace is slower and the boardwalk isn't overwhelming.
Best for:
Families who want a classic beach week with a quieter atmosphere and enough breathing room to stop planning every day.
Why it's on my list:
Bethany's compact size and slower pace make it easy to settle into vacation mode quickly.
PALM SPRINGS, CA
Sunshine, pools, and resorts where parents get to enjoy vacation too.
Best for:
Families who want sunshine, pool time, desert scenery, and enough nearby activities to explore without filling every day.
Why it's on my list:
Palm Springs is particularly good when you want the hotel to contribute to the vacation rather than simply give you somewhere to sleep.
TURKS & CAICOS
Beautiful water, thoughtfully chosen resorts, and an easy beach vacation.
Best for:
Families who want incredible beaches and an easy resort vacation where doing less is actually the point.
Why it's on my list:
The right Turks & Caicos resort can give families plenty to do without turning the vacation into an itinerary-management exercise.
ALASKA
One of the few destinations where the way you experience it matters just as much as the destination itself.
Best for:
Families ready for a bigger adventure with wildlife, dramatic scenery, and experiences they simply can't replicate closer to home.
Why it's on my list:
Alaska is spectacular, but logistics matter. Thoughtful cruise and land planning can make an enormous difference here.
HERSHEY, PA
A simple, fun getaway that doesn't require a plane ticket to make lasting memories.
Best for:
Families with younger children who want an easy, activity-filled getaway with very little logistical heavy lifting.
Why it's on my list:
Hershey makes a short family getaway easy with attractions, entertainment, and family-friendly hotels concentrated in one area.
THE POCONOS, PA
From waterparks to mountain lodges, choosing the right resort makes all the difference.
Best for:
Families who want nature, activities, and an easy drive-to vacation where the right property can provide plenty to do.
Why it's on my list:
Choose the right resort and you can dramatically reduce how much the family planner needs to organize once you're there.
ISLAMORADA
The Florida Keys without the crowds and constant activity.
Best for:
Families who want warm weather, time on the water, and a laid-back tropical vacation without leaving the country.
Why it's on my list:
Islamorada gives families the Florida Keys experience with great resorts, water activities, and enough to do without needing to fill every day with plans.
JACKSON HOLE & GRAND TETON
Western adventure, wildlife, and incredible scenery, without giving up comfortable places to stay.
Best for:
Families who want wildlife, mountains, and outdoor adventure without giving up a comfortable home base at the end of the day.
Why it's on my list:
Jackson Hole makes a major national park trip feel manageable while still delivering the experience families came for.
COSTA RICA
Wildlife, rainforest, beaches, and adventure without giving up comfort.
Best for:
Families who want wildlife, adventure, beautiful landscapes, and enough variety to make one vacation feel like several.
Why it's on my list:
With the right route and logistics, Costa Rica can deliver major adventure without making the family responsible for figuring out everything as they go.

This is for the family planner who doesn't want to turn a good vacation idea into another project.
I handle the research, recommendations, reservations, coordination, and major travel logistics so the trip keeps moving without you having to manage it.
PLANNING-ONLY
I figure out the trip. You handle the bookings.
This works well when you want professional recommendations but prefer to make your own reservations because of points, loyalty benefits, discounts, booking preferences, or simply because you like having direct control.
I create a Personalized Travel Plan with my recommendations, activities, practical guidance, and trusted booking resources.
You get the roadmap without having to become an expert on the destination first.
THE TRIP DOESN'T HAVE TO BE FIGURED OUT BEFORE YOU CALL ME.
In fact, I'd rather you didn't spend the next month trying to solve it first.
You don't need to narrow the country down to three destinations, compare six resorts, or build a preliminary itinerary before you're "ready" for a travel advisor.
That's work you're considering hiring me to do.
Bring me the family. Bring me the dates if you have them. Bring me the vague idea that everyone desperately needs a vacation and you haven't had time to think much further than that.
